Top 10 Photography Companies in London: 2026 Research

Table of Contents

Last Updated : September 2026

Choosing a photography company in London is harder than comparing ten portfolios.

One photographer may charge by the hour, another by the half day, while corporate headshot specialists may price according to the number of employees. Editing, travel, turnaround, VAT and commercial image rights can also change what initially looks like a straightforward quotation.

So Companies.London approached this guide differently.

In September 2026, we examined the London photography market from a buyer’s perspective. Alongside identifying 10 photography companies worth considering for different types of work, we looked at a question conventional Top 10 lists often overlook:

How can a business meaningfully compare two photography quotations?

That research led us to develop four comparison measures – CPPE, ECC, EPC and PQTS – which are explained below.

They are Companies.London analytical tools, not recognised photography-industry standards.

Top 10 Photography Companies in London at a Glance

Photography Company Main Focus London Location/Presence Consider For
DG Corporate Corporate Photography Old Street Company Headshots and Teams
The Photo Team Corporate and Specialist Photography Regent Street Business and Event Requirements
Studio Grey Corporate Portraits Fleet Street Professional Headshots
Vistolia Photography Commercial Photography Hackney Brand and Commercial Imagery
Event Photographer London Events Central London Conferences and Events
Kalory Photo & Video Commercial Photo and Video Brixton Products and Branded Content
Piranha Photography Corporate Photography South Kensington Corporate Communications
Headshot London Headshots and Corporate Photography Clifton Street Professional Profiles and Teams
SpacePhoto Professional Photography South London Business Photography
Simon Callaghan Photography Commercial Photography London Commercial, Architecture and Corporate Work

This is a curated directory rather than a first-to-tenth quality ranking. The right photographer depends on the assignment.

How Did Companies.London Select These 10?

We wanted to avoid producing another list where companies appear without an explanation of why they were included.

The September 2026 review considered factors including:

  • an identifiable London presence;
  • a clearly defined photography specialism;
  • relevance to business or professional customers;
  • accessible portfolio or service information;
  • evidence of current operation;
  • publicly available customer feedback where appropriate;
  • pricing or commercial transparency where available; and
  • whether the provider adds a distinct specialism to this guide.

Price alone was not used to determine inclusion.

Neither was review volume treated as proof that one photographer is better than another.

A specialist product photographer and an event photographer solve fundamentally different problems, making a universal ranking potentially misleading.

1. DG Corporate

DG Corporate

  • Location: 35 Eagle House, 30 Eagle Wharf Road, London N1 7EH
  • Website: www.dg-corporate.co.uk

Main focus: Corporate headshots and business photography

DG Corporate is based at Eagle House on Eagle Wharf Road in Old Street and specialises in corporate headshots.

Its current service is particularly focused on bringing a mobile photography setup into company offices rather than requiring every employee to visit a studio.

That distinction matters for large teams.

If a company needs photographs of 50, 100 or 200 employees, the operational cost of sending everyone to an external studio can become as relevant as the photography fee itself.

DG Corporate states that it handles team projects from around 10 employees to more than 200 and also provides executive portraits, workplace imagery, office lifestyle photography and event photography.

Who Should Consider DG Corporate?

It is particularly relevant to:

  • companies arranging team headshots;
  • HR and marketing departments;
  • growing businesses requiring consistent new-starter photographs;
  • executive portrait requirements; and
  • businesses wanting photography completed at their office.

Companies.London observation: The most interesting part of its proposition is not simply headshot photography but the workflow built around photographing teams at their workplace.

2. The Photo Team

The Photo Team

  • Location: 3rd Floor, 207 Regent Street, London W1B 3HH
  • Website: www.thephototeam.co.uk

Main focus: Corporate and specialist photography

The Photo Team Photography Limited has an established Central London presence at 207 Regent Street.

Companies House records show the business as an active private limited company incorporated in October 2012, with photographic activities listed among its business classifications.

That gives prospective customers something beyond a marketing website to verify: an identifiable UK corporate entity and operating history.

Who Should Consider The Photo Team?

It is worth investigating for businesses seeking:

  • corporate photography;
  • professional portraits;
  • event-related photography;
  • branded visual content; and
  • broader photography requirements.

Its Regent Street base may also be convenient for companies operating around the West End and Central London.

Companies.London observation: Its identifiable corporate history makes it useful for businesses that want to perform supplier due diligence before commissioning photography.

3. Studio Grey

Studio Grey

  • Location: 160 Fleet Street, London EC4A 2DQ
  • Website: studio-grey.net

Main focus: Corporate portraits and professional headshots

Studio Grey operates from Fleet Street and focuses strongly on corporate headshots and professional portraiture.

The location itself is significant.

Fleet Street places the studio within easy reach of the City, legal businesses and London’s professional-services sector.

Studio Grey says it can photograph clients at its studio, at company offices or on location.

Who Should Consider Studio Grey?

It is particularly relevant for:

  • professional headshots;
  • executive portraits;
  • staff photographs;
  • LinkedIn imagery;
  • director portraits; and
  • corporate portrait projects.

The company also has substantial independently visible customer feedback. Trustpilot displayed a 4.9 rating from around 740 reviews when checked during our September 2026 research.

Review totals and ratings change, so readers should verify the current figure when making a booking decision.

Companies.London observation: Its Fleet Street studio and specific emphasis on professional portraiture make it particularly relevant when headshots rather than general photography  are the primary requirement.

4. Vistolia Photography

Vistolia Photography

  • London presence: Hackney
  • Website: vistolia.com

Main focus: Commercial photography

Vistolia Photography provides another type of service within London’s photography market: commercially oriented imagery.

The distinction between commercial and personal photography is important.

A portrait may primarily need to satisfy the person being photographed. A commercial photograph normally has another job to perform representing a business, communicating a brand or helping market a product or service.

Who Should Consider Vistolia Photography?

Businesses may want to investigate it for:

  • commercial imagery;
  • branded photography;
  • marketing assets;
  • company content; and
  • professional business photography.

Companies.London observation: It adds an East London commercial-photography option to a market often discussed primarily in terms of Central London studios.

5. Event Photographer London

Event Photographer London

  • London presence: Central London
  • Website: freelanceeventsphotographer.co.uk

Main focus: Events and conferences

Event photography deserves to be treated separately from studio portraiture.

At a live event, photographers cannot simply ask a keynote speaker to repeat a spontaneous reaction or recreate an award presentation.

They need to anticipate what is going to happen.

For companies, another consideration is speed. Images from a conference may be required for LinkedIn, PR or press distribution while the event is still taking place.

Who Should Consider an Event Specialist?

A dedicated event photographer can be particularly relevant for:

  • conferences;
  • award ceremonies;
  • product launches;
  • networking events;
  • corporate celebrations; and
  • business gatherings.

Before booking any event photographer, Companies.London recommends agreeing exactly when the first edited photographs will become available.

Companies.London observation: For events, turnaround and the ability to work unobtrusively can be as important to the brief as the photographer’s visual style.

6. Kalory Photo & Video

Kalory Photo

  • Location: Central London SW2, near Brixton Underground station
  • Website: kalory.co.uk

Main focus: Commercial photography and video

Kalory Photo & Video operates a Central London studio near Brixton and has a notably specialist commercial proposition.

Its current work covers areas including jewellery, watches, product packshots, still life, model shoots, retail interiors and branded campaigns.

The studio also produces video.

That combination is increasingly relevant because companies rarely commission visual content for only one format.

A product launch might simultaneously require ecommerce images, campaign photography, social content and short-form video.

Who Should Consider Kalory?

It is particularly relevant to:

  • jewellery and watch brands;
  • retailers;
  • ecommerce businesses;
  • product companies;
  • marketing departments; and
  • brands requiring both photography and video.

Kalory says it responds to briefs within 24 hours and offers faster turnaround for urgent projects.

Companies.London observation: Its specialisation in technically demanding products such as jewellery and watches differentiates it from general corporate photographers.

7. Piranha Photography

Piranha Photography

  • Location: The Gatehouse, Regency Terrace, South Kensington, London SW7 3QW
  • Website: piranhaphotography.com

Main focus: Corporate and commercial photography

Piranha Photography has been providing corporate photography services for more than 25 years.

Its services currently include corporate headshots, business portraits, annual-report photography, board photography, events, PR, website photography and corporate video.

The company says it handles up to 300 shoots annually across London, the UK and Europe.

Piranha also says that its photography team consists of five photographers, allowing work to be allocated according to the nature of the assignment and availability.

Who Should Consider Piranha Photography?

Its service range is particularly applicable to:

  • larger companies;
  • professional-services businesses;
  • corporate communications teams;
  • annual-report projects;
  • executives;
  • PR agencies; and
  • companies requiring both photography and video.

Piranha states that same-day or next-day delivery can be provided, an important consideration for time-sensitive corporate work.

Companies.London observation: Its long corporate focus and breadth of business-photography services distinguish it from photographers primarily serving individual consumers.

8. Headshot London

Headshot London

  • Location: 107 Clifton Street, London EC2A 4LG
  • Website: headshotlondon.co.uk

Main focus: Corporate photography and professional headshots

Headshot London operates from Clifton Street and provides corporate, portrait and commercial photography.

Its portfolio states that it has photographed hundreds of companies and thousands of people, with much of its corporate work taking place at clients’ offices.

Its published client list spans sectors including finance, law, technology, PR, construction, healthcare and insurance.

Who Should Consider Headshot London?

It may be particularly relevant for:

  • company headshots;
  • professional profiles;
  • corporate teams;
  • business portraits;
  • LinkedIn photography; and
  • organisations requiring photography at their own offices.

Its stated approach of travelling with studio-style lighting equipment is particularly relevant to companies wanting consistent employee portraits without moving their workforce to an external studio.

Companies.London observation: Its corporate client portfolio makes it particularly useful to investigate when consistency across a larger team is important.

9. SpacePhoto

SpacePhoto

  • London presence: South London
  • Website: spacephoto.co.uk

Main focus: Professional photography

SpacePhoto provides a South London alternative to the concentration of photographers around the City and West End.

Location should not automatically determine which photographer a company chooses, particularly when many business photographers work on location.

However, considering providers across London can broaden the available shortlist.

Who Should Consider SpacePhoto?

Businesses looking beyond Central London can include SpacePhoto when comparing professional photography options for company and commercial requirements.

Companies.London observation: Its inclusion helps broaden the geographic scope of this directory rather than treating Central London as the entirety of London’s professional photography market.

10. Simon Callaghan Photography

Simon Callaghan Photography

  • London presence: London
  • Website: simoncallaghanphotography.com

Main focus: Commercial, architectural and corporate photography

Simon Callaghan Photography specialises in commercial photography, architectural photography and corporate headshots.

The business states that it has worked with hundreds of clients over approximately 14 years, producing imagery for brands, agencies and marketing teams.

Its work spans people, places, products and events.

That breadth can be particularly relevant to a business rebuilding a website or visual identity, where one assignment may require portraits, workplace photography, architecture and branded imagery rather than a single type of photograph.

Who Should Consider Simon Callaghan Photography?

It is worth investigating for:

  • commercial campaigns;
  • architecture and interiors;
  • corporate headshots;
  • products;
  • events;
  • branded photography; and
  • broader marketing projects.

Companies.London observation: The combination of architectural, commercial and people photography can be useful where a company wants one visual style across several different subjects.

But How Do You Actually Compare These Photography Companies?

This is where Companies.London’s research moves beyond a conventional Top 10.

Searching for photographers gives buyers plenty of portfolios.

It does not necessarily give them an easy way to compare quotations.

Imagine a company needs professional photography.

Before contacting anyone, it wants six basic answers:

Question What the Buyer Needs to Know
What will it cost? Price or starting price
How long is the shoot? Session duration
What will we receive? Final image quantity
When will we receive it? Turnaround
Can we use the images commercially? Licensing terms
What else could we pay? VAT, travel, overtime and extras

When those answers are unclear, two apparently similar quotations can represent very different purchases.

The £1,050 Corporate Headshot Experiment

One of the most interesting examples we found during our research came from publicly advertised London corporate-headshot pricing.

Andrew Mason Photography currently publishes the following Central London team pricing:

Number of People Published Price
1 £275
2 £350
3 £425
4 £500
5–9 £575
10–15 £650
16–20 £725
21–30 £850
31–40 £950
41–50 £1,050

The published figures exclude VAT.

Simply reproducing this table would add little new information.

So Companies.London asked a different question.

What Happens to the Cost Per Employee?

At one employee:

£275 ÷ 1 = £275 per employee

At 50 employees:

£1,050 ÷ 50 = £21 per employee

At those two points in the published schedule, the effective per-person figure therefore falls by approximately 92%.

This does not mean every London photographer provides the same economies of scale.

It does reveal why comparing only the total quotation can be misleading for a large company.

Companies.London Metric 1: CPPE

We call this:

Cost Per Photographed Employee — CPPE

The calculation is:

CPPE = Total photography cost ÷ Number of employees photographed

Imagine Company A pays £900 to photograph 30 employees:

£900 ÷ 30 = £30 CPPE

Company B pays £650 to photograph 10:

£650 ÷ 10 = £65 CPPE

Company A spends £250 more overall but pays less than half as much per photographed employee.

CPPE does not measure photographic quality.

It is simply a Companies.London comparison metric that procurement, HR and marketing teams can use when examining high-volume headshot quotations.

The Half-Day Photography Trap

“Half day” sounds straightforward.

But businesses should examine what it actually buys.

Rafael Bastos currently publishes corporate event photography starting from:

£550 for up to four hours

and

£950 for up to eight hours.

Both include pre-event planning, editing and a licensed digital gallery, according to the photographer’s current pricing information.

Companies.London calculated the maximum effective shooting-hour cost.

Package Price Coverage Effective Cost Per Available Hour
Half Day £550 Up to 4 hours £137.50
Full Day £950 Up to 8 hours £118.75

The full-day package provides twice the maximum coverage for approximately 73% more money.

Again, this is one photographer’s published pricing, not a London-wide industry rate.

But it demonstrates why asking for both half-day and full-day quotations can reveal something that the headline price does not.

Companies.London Metric 2: ECC

For events, Companies.London proposes another simple comparison:

Effective Coverage Cost — ECC

ECC = Photography fee ÷ Contracted coverage hours

A £950 eight-hour assignment produces:

£118.75 ECC

A £550 four-hour assignment produces:

£137.50 ECC

ECC can help event managers compare the economics of different coverage periods.

It cannot tell them which photographer has the stronger portfolio.

Why the £500 Photographer Can Cost More Than the £800 Photographer?

Headline prices are particularly dangerous when packages contain different things.

Consider this hypothetical comparison.

Photographer A

Headline fee: £500

Travel: £60
Required retouching: £150
Additional finished images: £100
Required commercial licensing: £150

Effective project cost: £960

Photographer B

Headline fee: £800

Travel: included
Required editing: included
Agreed images: included
Required business usage: included

Effective project cost: £800

Photographer A appeared £300 cheaper.

After the necessary extras, Photographer A is £160 more expensive.

The example is hypothetical, but the purchasing problem is real.

Companies.London Metric 3: EPC

We call the calculation:

Effective Photography Cost — EPC

EPC = Headline photography fee + all required extras

Required extras could include:

  • VAT;
  • London travel;
  • additional shooting hours;
  • retouching;
  • additional images;
  • studio rental;
  • assistants;
  • expedited delivery; and
  • required commercial licensing.

EPC gives the buyer a much more useful figure than the price displayed in a headline advertisement.

How Transparent Is a Photography Quote?

We wanted a way of examining another question:

How much can a customer understand before contacting the photographer?

That led to a fourth Companies.London framework.

Companies.London Metric 4: Photography Quote Transparency Score

The Photography Quote Transparency Score — PQTS awards one point when each piece of commercial information is publicly available.

Public Information Point Score
Starting Price 1
Session Duration 1
Expected Deliverables 1
Editing Information 1
Turnaround 1
Usage/Licensing Explanation 1
VAT Position 1
Travel-Cost Information 1
Overtime/Additional-Hours Policy 1
Cancellation/Rescheduling Information 1

Maximum PQTS: 10

Importantly, this is not a photography quality score.

A photographer with a PQTS of 10 is not necessarily more talented than a photographer scoring 3.

A photographer may have legitimate reasons for providing bespoke quotations.

PQTS measures only one thing:

How much of the commercial arrangement can a prospective customer understand before making an enquiry?

The Four Numbers Businesses Can Use

Our research therefore produces four different comparison tools.

Companies.London Metric Calculation Useful For
CPPE Cost ÷ Employees Photographed Corporate Teams
ECC Fee ÷ Coverage Hours Events
EPC Headline Fee + Required Extras Commercial Projects
PQTS 1 Point per Disclosed Commercial Item Price Transparency

These are Companies.London analytical frameworks, not established industry standards.

They should complement portfolio assessment and supplier due diligence rather than replace them.

Which Photography Company Fits Which Type of Project?

Rather than asking which photographer is universally “best”, start with the assignment.

Corporate Headshots

Providers in this guide worth investigating include DG Corporate, Studio Grey and Headshot London.

For a large team, calculate CPPE and ask whether the photographer can reproduce the same visual style when new employees join later.

Corporate Events

Look at specialists in events or providers with documented corporate-event experience.

Ask about same-day selections, final turnaround, overtime and whether the photographer has experience working in low-light conference environments.

Product and Luxury Photography

Kalory is particularly relevant to this category because of its stated focus on products, jewellery, watches and retail environments.

For products, ask whether pricing is calculated per image, product, setup or shooting day.

Commercial and Brand Photography

Vistolia and Simon Callaghan Photography are among the commercially oriented providers included in this guide.

Commercial clients should pay particular attention to where the finished images can legally be used.

Corporate Communications

Piranha’s combination of headshots, annual reports, board photography, PR, events and video makes it relevant to broader corporate-communications requirements.

Studio or On-Location Photography?

This choice can materially affect the project.

A studio offers controlled lighting, backgrounds and working conditions.

It can be particularly suitable for individual headshots, executive portraits and products.

On-location photography solves a different problem.

If 75 employees require headshots, bringing a mobile studio to their office may prevent dozens of journeys across London.

Businesses should therefore consider the operational cost of the shoot, not just the photographer’s invoice.

Staff time has a cost too.

What Should You Ask Before Booking?

A photography quote should answer more than “how much?”

Before paying a deposit, establish:

  1. How many photography hours are included?
  2. How many final photographs will be supplied?
  3. What editing and retouching are included?
  4. Is VAT included in the quoted amount?
  5. Are London travel costs included?
  6. When will proofs be available?
  7. When will final images be delivered?
  8. What happens if the assignment overruns?
  9. What commercial usage is included?
  10. Can images be used in paid advertising?
  11. Are additional images chargeable?
  12. What is the cancellation or rescheduling policy?

For corporate work, obtain the answers in writing.

How Much Do Corporate Headshots Cost in London?

There is no universal London headshot price.

One useful current example is Andrew Mason Photography’s published Central London corporate pricing, which ranges from £275 plus VAT for one person to £1,050 plus VAT for 41–50 people.

The same photographer separately advertises an individual studio headshot session in Kennington at £185 plus VAT and an on-location individual session at £245 plus VAT.

That difference illustrates why statements such as “a London headshot costs £X” can be misleading.

Location, team size, deliverables and the structure of the assignment all matter.

How Much Does Corporate Event Photography Cost in London?

Again, there is no universal rate.

Rafael Bastos currently advertises corporate event coverage from £550 for up to four hours and £950 for up to eight hours.

His published guide gives broader indicative London-market ranges of approximately £450–£750 for a half day and £850–£1,500 for a full day.

Those wider ranges are the photographer’s own market assessment rather than Companies.London statistics, so they should be treated accordingly.

What Did Companies.London Learn?

The biggest lesson from this research is that asking:

“How much does a London photographer cost?”

is often the wrong question.

Businesses can get more useful answers by asking:

What will each employee photographed actually cost us?

What are we paying for each contracted hour of event coverage?

What is the final cost after every required extra?

How much of the commercial arrangement can we establish before contacting the provider?

Those questions produce CPPE, ECC, EPC and PQTS.

They also make a Top 10 photography-company guide more useful than simply putting ten portfolios into an arbitrary order.

Why We Haven’t Named One “Best Photography Company in London”

The right provider depends on what needs to be photographed.

A specialist who produces technically demanding jewellery images may not be the appropriate photographer for an eight-hour conference.

An experienced conference photographer may not be the right choice for carefully controlled executive studio portraits.

And a photographer who is highly effective at photographing one executive may use a pricing structure that makes less sense for 200 employees.

The purpose of this Top 10 is therefore to create a shortlist, not to declare an artificial universal winner.

Companies.London Research Methodology

This guide was researched and updated in September 2026.

For the Top 10 directory, Companies.London examined London photography providers using identifiable factors including their photography specialism, London presence, relevance to professional or commercial customers, publicly available service information, portfolios and verifiable business information where available.

Where we mention provider prices, services, turnaround times or business claims, those details come from publicly available information and can change after publication.

Where Companies.London calculates a figure from published information, such as cost per employee or effective hourly coverage, the calculation is our own.

The CPPE, ECC, EPC and PQTS frameworks were created for this Companies.London analysis. They are not official photography-industry metrics and should not be described as such elsewhere.

We have deliberately avoided giving the 10 companies numerical quality scores because portfolios, specialisms and client requirements cannot meaningfully be reduced to one number.

Before commissioning a photographer, customers should independently confirm current prices, business details, availability, insurance where required, deliverables, cancellation terms and image-usage rights.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Are the Best Photography Companies in London?

London has specialist providers for different requirements rather than one company suited to every assignment. The Companies.London 2026 shortlist includes DG Corporate, The Photo Team, Studio Grey, Vistolia Photography, Event Photographer London, Kalory Photo & Video, Piranha Photography, Headshot London, SpacePhoto and Simon Callaghan Photography.

How Much Does a Photographer Cost in London?

Prices vary considerably according to photography type, hours, location, editing, image quantities and usage rights. Published corporate examples range from several hundred pounds for shorter assignments to £1,000 or more for larger teams and full-day commercial work.

How Much Do Corporate Headshots Cost in London?

Current published London examples show that pricing can depend heavily on team size. One current Central London schedule ranges from £275 plus VAT for one employee to £1,050 plus VAT for 41–50 employees.

Is It Cheaper to Photograph Employees Together?

Published team pricing indicates that the effective cost per employee can fall substantially as the number photographed increases. Companies.London’s CPPE calculation can help businesses quantify this difference.

How Much Does an Event Photographer Cost in London?

One current London corporate event photographer advertises £550 for up to four hours and £950 for up to eight hours. Other providers may charge substantially more or less depending on experience, requirements and deliverables.

Should I Choose a Photography Studio or an Office Shoot?

Studios provide greater environmental and lighting control. On-location photography can be more practical for large corporate teams because employees can be photographed without travelling individually to a studio.

Are Commercial Image Rights Included in the Photography Price?

Not necessarily. Businesses should confirm permitted usage before commissioning photography, particularly for advertising, PR, websites, social media and third-party publication.

How Should I Compare Two Photography Quotes?

Compare the complete deliverables rather than only the headline price. Check shooting hours, number of final images, editing, turnaround, VAT, travel, licensing and other required charges. Companies.London’s EPC framework adds required extras to the headline fee to make this comparison clearer.

What Is CPPE?

CPPE means Cost Per Photographed Employee. Companies.London uses it as a simple comparison measure for team photography: total photography cost divided by the number of employees photographed.

What Is PQTS?

PQTS means Photography Quote Transparency Score. It is a Companies.London framework that checks whether ten pieces of useful commercial information including price, duration, turnaround, VAT and licensing are publicly explained. It measures transparency, not photography quality.
